Finally Friday (again)

So...besides my one and only very silly Sherlock Holmes fic I posted way back in January, I posted no fic all this year.
I worked on a lot of stuff. I got deep into the conceptualization phase of the big novel-length Avatar: TLA fic that I probably won't get into doing until Legend of Korra starts and has me and the fandom more excited about Avatar again. I fooled around writing some bits and pieces of Caprica and Sherlock fic that could maybe be turned into something.

startrekbigbang fic, which kind of consumed my life for a while because it was so damn good and was also my excuse for not writing anything of my own for a while.

Several people on my f-list are doing this and it's made me realize the last time I wrote a commentary for anything it was for my Brokeback Mountain fics literally ages ago. And while I'm stuck on like five different plot points for the Star Trek XI gen fic I'm working on I need something to do. So even if you haven't read any of these you can just pick one. Unless you think writing fanfic commentaries is narcissistic and silly, which it is.

2. Sharing these just for the hell of it. Atontd_startrek everyone's been asked to draw a picture, however terrible, of themselves as a Starfleet officer so we can make a big collage of all the members' submissions. So here's me as a reboot-universe redskirt:

May. 4th, 2009 01:23 amI know I'm not the only HP fan who sometimes does the "Let's pick random characters from anything and figure out what Hogwarts House they'd be in" game. In this poll I tried to pick ones that aren't really obvious or that I think there'd at least be a lot of disagreement about. 'Cause you know, we all know Luke Skywalker is Gryffindor...

1. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
2. One of his/her best traits.
3. One of his/her worst traits.
4. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
5. The story/chapter/paragraph/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
6. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.
