The Disney questions were difficult. There's a difference in the films I enjoyed most growing up and the ones I enjoy now. My tastes have changed a lot. I was obsessed with Aladdin when it first came out, but I rewatched it a few years ago and couldn't believe how awlful it was. Lol. I haven't seen a lot of them since I was younger, so it's hard to say whether I would feel they were over or under rated.
A couple of my other answers aren't that reliable either since I have yet to watch Wall-E, Nausicaa, and Porco Rosse (although I do have the former two in my possession).
I classified myself as a "huge" fan of anime, even though I don't feel like I'm as much of one as I used to be, but I suspect I still am compared to others. That said, you should really really watch Gankutsuou. I think you would like it.

Although Land Before Time is also epic and depressing.
