I've been neglecting LJ sooo much and really need to catch up on both my f-lists. O_O But meanwhile, these memes look fun so I wanted to do them.

Which book in the series is your favorite?
Easily New Moon.

How long did it take you to read the books?
I only remember I got through all three in about two weeks.

Who introduced you to the books?
The fandom, basically. LOL. Because they are everywhere and slowly taking over the internets.

Did you buy them, borrow them, or have them given to you as a gift?
Bought.

Are you most looking forward to: Breaking Dawn, Midnight Sun, or the movie?
BD

What's your dream ending to the series?
Something that will make me weep a little and also feel good. I like some bittersweet drama.

Favorites:

Who is your favorite character?
Jacob

Who's your favorite vampire?
That's really hard, but my first inclination is to say Emmett. I also really love Jasper.

Who is your favorite werewolf?
Jake Jake Jaaaaake

What's one of your favorite quotes from the stories?
"I don't have any leeches on my speed dial."

What was your favorite Bella and Edward moment?
This is what everybody is saying, but the meadow is classic. Why the hell were they a much sexier and more exciting couple before they ever actually kissed? I love when he is just holding her and listening to her heart and she says, "This is enough." I don't know why, but I found their relationship a lot more interesting when it was still full of so much restraint, and that scene is kind of the definitive moment of the "good old days" when I liked them more.
I really like the scene that he's driving her home from Port Angeles, too.

What was your favorite Bella and Jacob moment?
For some reason I've always thought the part when he gives her the box of conversation hearts is the most painfully cute thing ever. Somehow that was the point at which I went THUD and fell in love with Jacob. I like how he's so casual about making a kind of romantic gesture. That's what love is really like. It happens unceremoniously and in a more subtle way than in movies, without fireworks or anything. The way J/B fall in love is so much more realistic than a typical romance novel, and it seems like it should be boring to read, but it's fndklnkslgfnkdaslove.
I also squeak at every moment he calls her "honey."

How about your favorite Bella and Alice moment?
I think it's cute when Alice runs up and kisses her cheek when she first comes to the Cullens' house.

What was your favorite adventure/battle?
The rescue of Edward's ass in Italy. Especially when GRAND THEFT AUTO became necessary. Hahaha.

Which book cover was your favorite?
Eclipse

Are these books among your favorite books of all?
No, not quite...not really. Ha.

Movie Stuff:

How did you first find out about the movie?
I think from SM's website.

Are you excited?
Sure. It's a little soon for my blood pressure too be getting too elevated in excitement yet.

What do you think of the casting so far?
I'm happy.

Are you going to go see it?
NO. lol. Of course.

Planning on going with anyone in particular?
I'm sure I'll be going with [livejournal.com profile] ninety6tears and maybe getting our friend Kitty to go even though she's not a fan of the books.

Do you think it will stay true to the book?
I don't really care as long as they leave in vampire baseball, plenty of stuff with the other Cullens besides Edward, and all three of Jacob's appearances. I'm not going to be a nitpicky purist about the movies being faithful to canon; I just hope the acting is decent and they make good use of the books' potential for good action/comedy scenes. To be honest, I think I could end up liking the movies more than the books if they're not exactly like them. Some things that are already really cheesy in writing but barely manage to work would be just intolerable said out loud in a film.

Breaking Dawn Speculation:

Are you planning on buying this book as soon as it's out?
Hell yes.

Do you think Bella will be turned into a vampire finally?
Impossible to say. I think it either could or could not happen.

Do you think she and Edward will get married?
yeah

Do you think Jacob might imprint in this book?
Probably. This imprinting thing is yet to become important enough for there to be a point in introducing it in Eclipse. I just hope it's done well and doesn't feel like the ridiculously easy resolution to Jacob's story that it seems like it would be.

Who do you think Bella will end up with : Edward or Jacob?
Duh.

Do you think it will be a happy, sad, or shocking ending?
I have NO idea. I can't really see Steph giving us a totally sad downer of an ending, but I hope it's not just a simple, saccharine, completely happy-happy resolution. I think there should be some devastating death in there or something. LOL. I'm evil.

Who do you think will be the villain(s) of the book this time?
The Volturi. And that would be the shit.

How would you feel about a possible vampire / werewolf cross?
What? As in a couple? No?

Will Charlie find out Edward is a vampire?
That would be kind of cool, but I doubt it.

Will the vampires and werewolves continue the truce they had in Eclipse?
I think so. Maybe they will even be even more trusting of each other and stop being prejudices asses. LOL, Bella's marriage to Edward could have a similar effect as marriages between royalty of different nations that used to be arranged to guarantee peace between them. And everyone will be friends and send each other Christmas cards...yeah, not really.

If anyone, who do you think will die in this book?
I don't know. Damn. I don't really want to think about any of the Cullens dying, at least...

For a twist: what would you think if Edward was somehow turned human?
YEAH RIGHT. That would be a disappointingly easy ending even if it would be so much better for everybody.

Do you think Jacob will be over Bella by the end of the book?
No, just like it seems clear Bella will never just completely get over her feelings for him. But he could still end up very happy with someone else he also loves, possibly even more than her.

What do you most want to happen in Breaking Dawn?
For Bella to decide not to become a vampire.

What's your dream ending?
Deja vu?

(A Few Last Things:)

In which book did you like Bella's character best?
In Twilight and the scenes in NM when she acts like a normal, kind of rebellious teenager.

How about Edward's?
Twilight

Jacob's?
I guess NM, but he's always kind of the same to me

Alice's?
NM.

If it were possible...who would you most want to meet in person?
Jacob or Emmett.

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common, and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me, and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they enjoy the savory aroma of monkey brains a la mode."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.

Do. Please. Here's some random information about me a lot of you may not have known:

I am Sara, of course. I'm 21 and kind of dicking around at college pretending a degree in English is going to get me anywhere. I've wanted to be a writer for about as long as I remember. I have two original novels pretty developed in my head but only sort of started; I only ever seem to be able to make time for fanfiction, since it's the only thing for which the ideas I get are more short-story-sized. I played flute for a long time and was a big band dork in high school. I'm an identical twin and my sister is kind of my best friend. I'm single and have never been in a serious relationship and am pretty much okay with it. I have a really ridiculous, hyper sense of humor and usually keep laughing at something twice as long as somebody else. And my favorite kind of food is basically...desert.

I'm Erica, and I'm turning 20 in a week. I'm currently taking Museum Studies in college and it is kind of killing me, but I want to work in a small heritage house one day so I have to stay in the program to at least get some experience. I work at a small store in the mall near my house, which is owned by a very nice family. There are only four stores in total, and I really love it. We sell big furniture sets (some made by the company, some by other manufacturers), as well as different accessories like prints and candles. I can see myself working there until I move away (which will hopefully be to North Bay with my sister, when I'm done college. She'll hopefully be in university there, so it will all work out!)

Um, I was also a huge bandgeek (Alto Sax FTW!), and I even had two shirts and two sweatshirts to prove it (They said "I <3 CW Band" and on the back it said "Bandgeek". I was one of the co founders of these shirts. Ahaha).

I've been reading fanfiction since I was 12, and I don't care how nerdy it is. Most people in real life (family, close friends) know about it, and some of them read fic too, so it isn't too bad!

I hate heat, so I hate the city I'm living in because it gets to hot in the summer (And it is in Canada!?), and gets way to cold in the winter. I want to one day live in the UK, but we'll see if I can even get over there. I'm going to most likely start working in small Canadian towns to get experience first. That is fine with me :)

Erm, I have no idea what else to tell you, because I am really quite a boring person. My life is pretty much school and work.

I'm Kaiwynn, aka the UC Queen (as [livejournal.com profile] anythingbutgrey has christened me). I've got so many different hobbies, it's hard to keep track of them all. I'm a dancer -- I take ballet but I'm also a part of the competitive dance group at my school which does a variety of dance forms like jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip hop.

I just recently started learning how to play the acoustic guitar. Mainly I'm doing it just because it's fun, and because I like to get together with a bunch of my friends and play and sing. Did I mention I sing as well? >_>

Um, what else do I do? I take theatre, but I'm not a huge drama geek -- I'm more of a debater at heart. Oh! I knit -- I learned how to make those Harry Potter scarves about two weeks before the fifth movie came out this summer.

I don't know what else to tell you, hehe. :D

My real name won't be disclosed, but you can call me Stevie. I haven't updated my journal in 16 weeks (according to this LJ stats thing), and I'm not planning on it either. The only reason I use this LJ account anymore is to actually see what you've recommended lately. I just got back from a study abroad in Europe, and am now madly in love with the German language. Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut, aber ich liebe es zu sprechen. I once wanted to be a writer, but lately I haven't been writing any fiction, only on my blog and on my secret LJ. I love theatre, fiction, and movies. I like to talk a lot, and I love your writing. I think I first added you because I liked your "Ginny" icon. You must've posted in a community I was a part of because I'm pretty sure that's how I discovered you. I believe in God, I am very religious, and I respect you.

There's the girl that talks too much ...

I'm Angela, or Angie. On the brink of turning 23 (>_<). I graduated last spring from U of I (just thought I'd mention since I noticed you live in Champaign) with an advertising degree. I was few classes shy of a Gender and Woman's Studies minor. I'm really interested in the subject, but didn't really have the drive to finish it off by the time I was at the end of my undergraduate, I was so burnt out. And then ... I decided that I should go to graduate school for performing arts administration with a focus in theater with the intention of working in marketing because I decided that the advertising industry wasn't really for me and that I would actually like to pursue a career where I could honestly walk into an interview and not have to lie about being passionate about the job.

I became interested in theater in high school and it's developed into somewhat of a passion. The collaborative work of so many different people going into a single body of artistic work really intrigues me, but as much as theater has become one of my passions, my first and possibly true passion lies in storytelling and creative writing. My first dream was always to be a writer, but I lost confidence and developed an inferiority complex over it when I was a teenager, it's only in the last year that I've been able to write earnestly again.

I usually consider myself an anime fan first and foremost, though I've dropped out of it in the last year, but I was pretty intently into it during my four years in undergraduate. I've gone to anime conventions the past three years and was pretty into cosplaying (costume play). I was obsessed with making myself costumes of various anime characters. It's something I still enjoy, although have much less time to devote to.

Other things ... I like to read, but don't read nearly as much as I'd like. Lord of the Rings is possibly my favorite story ever. Obviously also into Harry Potter and Broadway musicals. I like Shakespeare. I listen to music pretty much constantly which range from a variety of Asian rock/pop, alternative rock bands, gothic rock, new age, American Idol type stuff, and show tunes. I used to play tennis and practice kung fu, though I've been out of the habit. I hate the cold. I love pandas. I'm really obsessed with the color purple and tea. I'm a tea, wine, cat kind of person.

And this is what happens when give me permission to ramble about myself. XP
