Fan Fiction Rec: "Loud" (Queer as Folk)

vdkapenguin before, but I swear I am no nepotist. Really. LOL. I can't help it if her work is awesome even by my ridiculously picky rec criteria and she also happens to share my genes. In fact, I am constantly bugging her to embrace her dorkiness and write fic more often. Considering she actually finally got herself an actual writing journal to post fic in (ninety6tears), it seems she might start listening to me.
I laughed when she told me what she wanted to write this short fanfic about: Brian and Michael going to a punk concert. A lot of it, of course, heavily inspired by those bits of information about their youth we're given in the episode we learn about their short-lived rock band project. At first it seems to exist just for the indulgent purpose of showing us the amusing image of Brian and Michael as much younger and very different versions of themselves than we're used to seeing, and almost seems to be more about the 80's then about them. But it does, overall, succeed in saying something very true about Brian and Michael's friendship (and give us some very fun mental images in the process).
