I don't know what it is about this simple little song that totally breaks my heart in two. So many people have picked this one for mixes but I can't imagine a BBM fanmix without it. It's just too perfect.

2. "Wish You Were Here" - Pink Floyd
This has special meaning to me in relation to BBM since I used the lyrics for my fanfic Red and White. It fits perfectly with how Jack and Ennis gave up freedom and what they loved for a fake, confining life. And what's more, this song ends with the sound of wind so it just has that Brokeback feel.

I just adore Iron and Wine and their songs are perfect for BBM.

I've always liked this track from the Kill Bill Vol. 2 soundtrack, and now cannot help but relate the title to a certain quote from the movie.

An absolutely beautiful, soulfully-sung song of longing that works as a quiet, internal expression of what Jack and Ennis were both feeling those four years apart.

A classic rock long-distance love song, because I think there's not enough music put on these fanmixes that is from the actual time the story took place. I think it fits Jack and Ennis's feelings when they're about to be reunited, or at any time they're about to see each other again.

Practically any Elliott song can be applied to BBM because they're generally all about feelings of loneliness and alienation and struggles with identity -all that good angsty stuff. "Pitseleh" actually fits even better, but I just like this one more.

Because it just should have been on the soundtrack, dammit. Hearing this song now depresses me beyond words.

To me this fits BBM just because of the feeling and tone more than anything. It describes a quiet moment between two lovers who are isolated and alone and the kind of peace Jack and Ennis were able to have only for brief times during their lives.

This song is so quiet and distant-sounding that it kind of makes you feel lonely and abandoned just listening to it. Perfect for Ennis's thoughts at the end of the movie.

I had never thought of some of these songs, especially Comin' Back To Me, when I re-listened to the song it fit so perfectly and tragically to Ennis at the end of the film.

However, I have no idea how to make the songs work once downloaded it goes my itunes then says I'm blocked from listening to the song and need some sort of a password. Whatever, you have an interesting take on these songs and the implied relation to the movie. I too tend to find songs that remind me of movies, and emotions similar to emotions sprung on by movies, especially BBM. I'll never listen to Comin' Back to Me again without thinking of Ennis.
