Summary: With a little support from Cas that comes in a strange form, Sam may be able to keep his memories of the cage suppressed. But everything his soulless self lived through are memories he's now stuck with, including some things Dean wasn't prepared for him to have to find out about.
Warnings: some arguably dub-con situations
Notes: When I first started thinking about doing SPN fic I didn't really see myself writing anything but gen, much less this ship, as much as I've unexpectedly ended up loving it. But I've come to favor the idea of Sam and Dean not getting together until after Season 5, now that they've grown so much and become a lot more trusting and equal in their relationship and all, and I decided there's not enough S6 first-time fic out there working along those lines and I might as well just go there already. LOL.
This is generally a post-6.11 fic (that jumps back into pre-series/other times here and there), but it also goes just a little AU with some details regarding Dean/Robo-Sam that contradict recent canon...which I'm sure won't be nearly as confusing as it might sound when it comes up in the fic. Heh.
